Nugget: A Potential Reason for Zomato’s Name Change
Nugget’s launch gives a clear picture of why Zomato rebranded itself to Eternal. On February 6, 2025, the company's board approved a resolution to rename the parent company to Eternal Ltd. This change, pending shareholder and regulatory approval, is made to merge the company's four major businesses:
- Food delivery platform ‘Zomato’
- Quick-commerce unit ‘Blinkit’
- Live events business ‘District’
- Kitchen supplies unit ‘Hyperpure’
And now,
- AI-powered customer support platform ‘Nugget’
