November brought a huge spotlight event for gamers everywhere. We are talking about the dedicated State of Play Japan showcase. PlayStation dropped a special Japan-focused State of Play event on November 11, 2025. This was a deep dive into Japanese gaming, focusing on the latest and greatest coming to PlayStation 5. It featured new looks at major sequels, brand-new IP reveals, and plenty of surprise launch dates. The PlayStation State of Play Japan covered multiple genres. Square Enix opened the State of Play with Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. The full remake will launch on PS5 on February 5, 2026. Players can reunite with adult Keifa in a brand new episode that wasn't in the original game.

Koei Tecmo Games revealed the remake of Fatal Frame II with a March 12, 2026, release date. This remake of the 2003 horror classic brings updated visuals and gameplay. Players explore a cursed village while confronting spirits using the Camera Obscura.
The racing series returns to PlayStation after a 20-year gap. Tokyo Xtreme Racer launches on PS5 on February 26, 2026. Over 400 rivals await across 180 kilometers of Tokyo highways, and the Spirit Point system adds a unique twist to races.

A demo for Octopath Traveler 0 dropped immediately after the PlayStation State of Play announcements. The full game arrives December 4 on PS5 and PS4. New features include village-building mechanics and three new characters - Herminia, Tytos, and Auguste.

Toge Productions announced Coffee Talk Tokyo for March 5, 2026. The narrative adventure puts you in a Tokyo café serving drinks to humans and yōkai. This spin-off continues the beloved Coffee Talk series with a Japanese setting.

The first DLC for Elden Ring Nightreign will launch on December 4, 2025. Two new playable characters join the roster - the Scholar and the Undertaker. The Forsaken Hollows brings fresh areas and tough new bosses for players to tackle.

Fate Trigger begins early access in Q1 2026 with two new heroes. Monster Hunter Wilds gets its fourth free update on December 16. Bandai Namco revealed DLC for multiple games - Once Upon a Katamari, Pac-Man World 2 with Sonic content, Digimon Story Time Stranger, Super Robot Wars Y, and Sonic Racing CrossWorlds SpongeBob pack. Damon and Baby arrive in early 2026 as an action-adventure.
