Soon after launching its famous Holiday Menu, Starbucks had to face a problem that came at the most unexpected time!
Today has not been as great as it was supposed to be for Starbucks. The global coffee giant had planned to launch its holiday menu on November 7, 2024, which it did. Soon after, it faced another challenge to take care of.
Multiple users around the world complained about the downtime of the app that started at somewhere around 8 AM ET. Imagine, the time falls between the middle of the morning coffee rush when Starbucks receives most of its orders.
More than 2 thousand users reported Starbucks downtime on Downdetector.com, a platform that keeps track of downtimes for websites and apps around the world.

Hey @Starbucks a working app would be nice, you can be expensive or you can be inconvenient but you can’t be both

More such complaints have flooded the social media platforms like Thread, X, and even LinkedIn. Starbucks has yet to release details on the financial impact of the downtime, but with the disruption falling during a critical order window, it’s likely the company will feel the effects.
