iOS 18.2 Public Beta 3 Launched With Exciting New Features
Date: November 21, 2024
The iOS 18.2 public beta 3 version arrived before next month’s scheduled full launch and right after the iOS 18.2 beta 4 for developers was launched.
Apple has released the same version of the latest iOS 18.2 beta 3 version twice in one day. After a few hours of releasing iOS 18.2 4 for developers in the afternoon, the company released the iOS 18.2 public beta 3 version for everyone else. The differences in both releases are none, making them essentially the same software.
While the company did not outright display what’s new in the latest iOS version, here’s what the community found out:
- The video scrubber in the Photos app now shows milliseconds in the timeline.
- Camera settings have been centralized further by bringing Camera Control’s accessibility to the Camera Control Setting hub.
- The default Wallet in the iPhone can now be changed to any preferred contactless payment app.
- Apple Mail has received minor design tweaks.
The double beta release is most probably caused by Apple’s next week off due to Thanksgiving. This also means that the next beta update will arrive only after December 2nd. Considering Apple’s historical chronology of releasing beta versions, the RC update may also arrive earlier than its planned release date of December 9th.
iOS 18.2 has been a major update for all users as it unlocks the actual promised Apple Intelligence features. That’s why users have been keeping a keen eye on every beta version update and the feature upgrades that may come with them.
With iOS 18.2, Apple brought Genmoji, ChatGPT in Siri, Image Playground, Visual Intelligence, and more. Outside AI, a redesigned Mail app, new Find My features, and Camera Control upgrades have also enhanced the global Apple fans’ user experience.
