Google I/O 2025: Dates Announced for the Tech Giant’s Biggest Event of the Year
Date: February 12, 2025
Google I/O 2025 is set for May 20-21! Expect big AI reveals, Android 16 updates, and more. Registrations are open for keynotes, demos, and game-changing tech innovations!
Google announced that its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2025, will take place on 20 May and 21 May at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. The event can also be attended online, allowing developers and tech enthusiasts worldwide to tune in for the latest updates on Google’s innovations in artificial intelligence, Android, cloud computing, and more.
What to Expect at Google I/O 2025
Like previous years, the conference will kick off with a keynote address from CEO Sundar Pichai. It will be followed by a series of technical sessions, demos, and networking opportunities. However, this year’s event is set to place an even greater emphasis on AI, with expectations of major updates to Google’s Gemini AI models, Android 16, and generative AI tools.
Google introduces a new streaming format, with live broadcasts of developer keynotes and sessions focusing on Android development and AI applications.
Artificial intelligence is expected to be the star of the show, building on last year’s momentum. Google’s Gemma open model, Google AI Studio, and NotebookLM are already being promoted on the I/O homepage, hinting at expanded developer AI offerings. The company will also likely share updates on Wear OS, Google Maps, and other key services within its ecosystem.
Interestingly, Google I/O 2025 will overlap with Microsoft’s Build Conference, which runs from 19 May to 22 May. This scheduling clash sets up an AI-heavy showdown between the two tech giants as both companies push forward with advancements in artificial intelligence, cloud services, and operating systems.
Registration is Open!
Google I/O 2025 registration is now open and free for online participants. By registering, attendees can receive updates about the event’s schedule, sessions, and exclusive developer content.
