Google has partnered with Reliance Jio to offer its exclusive Gemini Pro AI plan worth Rs. 35,100 for free to all Jio users in India. This partnership brings AI technology to the fingertips of millions.
Google will offer its top-tier AI Pro plan to eligible Jio users. The best part is the price tag: zero. This is a complimentary, 18-month access period to some truly advanced tools. It is a major push toward fulfilling Reliance’s "AI for All" vision.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, spoke about this. He said Reliance Intelligence aims to make intelligence services available to all 1.45 billion Indians. This collaboration with Google is designed to make India not just AI-enabled, but truly AI-empowered.
Sundar Pichai said in a post on X:
Excited to partner with @RelianceJio to bring the best of Google AI to India. Eligible Jio users will receive our AI Pro plan at no extra cost for 18 months, including Gemini 2.5 Pro, 2TB of storage + our latest AI creation tools. Can't wait to see what we'll build together!

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, was excited about the news. He noted that Reliance is a long-time partner. Together, they have already brought affordable internet and smartphones to millions. Now, they are extending this partnership into the AI era. The focus is on empowering everyone. This includes general consumers, enterprises, and the vibrant Indian developer community.
Users get access to the latest and greatest: the Gemini 2.5 Pro model within the Gemini app. This model is known for its advanced capabilities. It can handle complex reasoning and multimodal inputs.
But the benefits don't stop there. The plan significantly boosts creative potential. Users will get higher limits to generate stunning images and videos. This is powered by Google’s advanced Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 models.
For students and researchers, there is expanded access to Notebook LM. Plus, the deal bundles in a generous 2 TB of cloud storage. This complete package makes the Jio Free Gemini Pro a valuable addition to anyone's digital toolkit.
The expanded collaboration establishes Reliance Intelligence as a key strategic go-to-market partner for Google Cloud. This means driving the adoption of Gemini Enterprise across Indian organizations. This unified agentic AI platform will bring Google AI to every employee and every workflow.
Furthermore, Reliance Intelligence will develop its own pre-built enterprise AI agents. These will be offered within Gemini Enterprise. This expands the choice of AI agents available to businesses in India. The whole initiative aims to strengthen India's national AI backbone. It fully supports the vision of making India a global AI powerhouse. The massive scale of the reliance on the Jio-Google AI partnership makes this goal attainable. The Jio free Gemini Pro access is just the beginning.
