Apple has just unleashed iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2, a critical update that slams the door on a WebKit zero-day vulnerability that’s already been exploited in the wild.
Dubbed CVE-2025-24201, this isn’t your average bug—it’s a sandbox escape hatch that’s been weaponized with surgical precision, targeting high-value individuals in what Apple describes as “an extremely sophisticated attack.”
Buckle up because this is the kind of flaw that keeps security researchers up at night.
Here’s what Apple says in an official note:
Maliciously crafted web content may be able to break out of the Web Content sandbox. This is a supplementary fix for an attack that was blocked in iOS 17.2. (Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on versions of iOS before iOS 17.2.)
Any users with iPhone from the iPhone Xs or later phones can use the entire iOS 18 architecture, including this update.
According to Apple’s release note, devices that can use iOS 18.3.2. Include: iPhone XS and later, iPad Pro 13-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd generation and later, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 7th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later.
According to Apple’s official notes, the release includes bug fixes, security updates, etc.
This update provides important bug fixes and security updates and addresses an issue that may prevent playback of some streaming content.
If you have turned on automatic updates, that will do the job.
Otherwise, all you need to do is go to your phone’s software update settings and download the new release.
The medium-sized update requires 704.6 MB of downloads.
