With its Mi Mix, the company has set a benchmark for other smartphones in the market to give impactful performance under budget. Now, Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi Mi7. The upcoming smartphone suspected to be one of the most interesting releases of 2018. Xiaomi may push the Mi7 standard and premium model in June.
According to rumors the Mi7 will come in two models one will be Mi7 standard and other will be Mi7 Plus. The Mi7 standard is expected to come with 5.6inch simple LCD display. The Mi7 Plus will have a 6-inch display with a OLED panel support, which will make the device first one to have OLED under Xiaomi production. Xiaomi will be using the Samsung manufactured OLED screen, till date Xiaomi has used only full HD panels on its phones. Both the devices will have 18:9 aspect ratio for displaying 2160x1080 pixels on the screen. For providing uninterrupted experience Mi7 and Mi7 Plus will be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. This processing unit of the device will be supported by 8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. There will be a 16MP dual camera at the back along with a 20MP front-facing camera. Most probably the phone will come with Dual Nano SIM support including a hybrid slot. Mi7 will have a very powerful battery of 4480 mAh that is maximum power of the battery being offered by any other available phone in the market.
On the software hand, the Mi7 will have Android Oreo 8.0 but it will be overlayed by the Xiaomi's MIUI 9.0. This means the phone will be providing the latest Android support right out of the box. You won't find any 3.5mm jack which concludes there will be USB-C type on the device. There are a couple of things that are very interesting about the Xiaomi Mi7 and will make it much more powerful if proven to be true. The device may come with an in-display fingerprint sensor that has been introduced by its all-time rival Vivo at CES. The latest leaked image of the device also supports this rumors as there is no fingerprint sensor on the phone. The other update is the wireless charging that Xiaomi has never integrated into its phone. The Mi Mix 2s will be the first one to get the wireless charging and we believe Mi7 will follow the upgrade.
Xiaomi launched the Mi6 on April 19, 2017, the company also follows the schedule pattern for launching its devices. However this year Xiaomi may have missed the timeline due to its other products but Mi7 is expected to be released in June. The rumors about the price of the smartphone are still going around and there is no perfect speculation, But, considering the updates we believe that Mi7 will cost $403 whereas the price Mi7 Plus is expected to be somewhere around $450.
