Anthropic’s new model targets enterprise users with breakthroughs in coding, reasoning, and safer automation built for critical workflows.
Anthropic on Monday launched Claude 4.5, its most advanced AI model yet, spotlighting major gains in sustained coding, scientific reasoning, and enterprise readiness. The company is clearly betting its future on business rather than consumer markets.
In internal tests, Claude 4.5 autonomously coded a web app from scratch, running uninterrupted for 30 hours, a dramatic jump over the 7-hour ceiling seen in prior models.
This long-haul performance hints at a model built for real-world, continuous workloads, not just bursts of demonstration flair.
Anthropic claims substantial progress in math, logic, and computer tasks. The model scored 60% on an OS-task benchmark compared to 40% for earlier versions. In tests of software engineering (via the SWE-Bench), Claude 4.5 is also said to lead, underscoring its ambition to dominate agentic AI and developer tooling.
To meet enterprise demands, Anthropic includes guardrails, safer output constraints, and compliance features aimed at regulated industries.
Claude 4.5 isn’t just for coders; Anthropic is pushing hard to make it central to business workflows. It’s tightly integrated with Claude for Enterprise, a product boasting a context window of up to 200,000 tokens.
The enterprise offering also features security measures such as SSO, permission controls, and audit logs. Anthropic is also enabling developers with a Claude Agent SDK, VS Code extensions, and deeper terminal support to let teams build their own intelligent automation agents.
This release arrives at a time when Anthropic is rapidly scaling globally. The firm is tripling its international headcount in 2025 to support rising demand outside the U.S. Its recent $13 billion funding round pegs the valuation at $183 billion, underscoring investor confidence in its AI pivot.
Claude 4.5 signals a turning point: AI startups are now building tools meant to run autonomously for days, not minutes. For enterprises deciding which models to embed into critical workflows, reliability, long-run performance, and guardrails are becoming differentiators. Whether Claude 4.5 can match hype with operational impact will determine whether Anthropic truly captures the enterprise AI crown.
