1. Performance

 The performance module is part of the Talent Suite and offers comprehensive manager and talent management tools.

• Talent Management: Lattice helps you streamline every aspect of your talent management approach. For this purpose, it provides performance reviews, talent reviews, and performance improvement plans.
• Manager Tools: It offers comprehensive solutions that can help with efficient team management. With it, you get tools for 1:1 communication, weekly progress updates, feedback sharing, and celebrating achievements.

2. Compensation

Lattice's Compensation module is a centralized platform that you can use for fair and consistent pay reviews. During my evaluation, I found that it uses precise market data from Mercer for competitive benchmarking to help you build transparent compensation bands.

I also liked how it streamlines pay adjustments with centralized cycle management and provides analytics to monitor pay equity. Apart from that, it also offers statement shareouts and an integrated pay-for-performance strategy to unify performance and compensation to reward your top talent.

3. Analytics

The analytics module gives you comprehensive insights to make data-driven decisions for your people. It offers the DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) feature to help you know about your workplace demographics. Further, you can also monitor employee participation in programs through the Adoption Dashboard.

During my research, I found that it also provides manager enablement tools that fetch real-time insights to support your teams. The module also supports strategic workforce planning by providing visuals to track trends. You also get a comprehensive integrated team analysis overview, with all your key data centralized to make data-driven decisions.

I found the goal prioritization and alignment tools incredibly helpful. They connect personal targets to business-wide metrics. The integrated goal tracking can give your employees visibility right within tools like Jira, Salesforce, and Slack. Further, you can strategize using a structured OKR framework.

Lattice's Grow module is designed to upskill your people and boost performance by creating clear career advancement pathways. You also get competency matrices to outline clear role expectations and career paths for your employees.

I particularly like how it can help employees drive their own growth with easy-to-launch career development plans. The Career Tracks are there to handle expectations and create  opportunities, keeping employees engaged and committed. What I found most valuable is how it can help you improve your employees’ growth plans by gearing up your managers to act as career coaches.

With its Payroll module, you can maintain up-to-date information with unified employee records, which automatically calculate payroll and track deductions. This module can also help you simplify compliance by handling tax filings and providing all the necessary data for auditing.

Its Employee Self-Service portal helps employees manage their own pay stubs and tax documents. I found its built-in time tracking feature particularly helpful as it eliminates the manual entry and errors by syncing time cards directly to payroll. Moreover, with its automated payroll processing, you get the unified and up-to-date HR and payroll data.

A part of the HRIS suite, the Time Tracking module is here to make the process of turning employee hours into accurate paychecks effortless. Its standout feature is automated payroll synchronization, which automatically syncs employee hours to payroll.

It also offers streamlined time approvals, letting you log, track, and approve hours for your employees easily. With its customizable policy configuration, you can build specific time-tracking rules and ensure compliance with US labor law.

Lattice AI can help you streamline the most time-consuming HR tasks like writing performance reviews and analyzing engagement surveys. Leveraging its capabilities, managers can utilize their bandwidth for strategic tasks. It helps synthesize complex employee data into clear, actionable recommendations, whether that's flagging burnout risks, suggesting career development paths, or identifying team health trends.

Lattice has recently introduced its AI agent, which can transform your HR operations. What I liked the most is the agent’s ability to pull together scattered employee data into clear action items, saving hours of manual analysis and helping you make faster, more informed decisions.

After a thorough review, I was genuinely impressed with the Lattice HR platform's strong usability. Lattice makes advanced HR tools feel accessible, and you don’t need to be a tech expert to navigate its comprehensive suite. I found its ability to consolidate performance reviews, OKR management, and compensation planning into a single workflow quite helpful. The platform can help you significantly reduce the administrative work, as you do not need to jump between multiple tools. The AI-powered analytics also stood out, providing meaningful data that truly helps in making strategic talent decisions.

However, my evaluation also highlighted a few constraints to be aware of. Integrating Lattice with complex, existing enterprise systems could be time-consuming. Additionally, I found the customization options for performance reviews and surveys to be limited. This could be a significant drawback if your organization relies on unique or industry-specific evaluation methods.

So, here's my final take: I would strongly recommend Lattice to growing organizations looking to centralize their HR operations and make data-driven decisions. However, if you're a small business with basic employee management needs, I believe you'll find better value in simpler, more cost-effective HR software tailored for your needs.
