Twitter, may be given a huge change to its users recently with 280 characters extension but is still working on few more tweaks including the ‘Bookmarks’. The company is testing a feature which will allow the users to save a particular tweet for later. The company has given it the name ‘Bookmarks’ and currently testing the feature according to Tina Koyama, staff product designer of Twitter who tweeted the design last night.

Tina Koyama confirmed the news on Twitter with a series of tweets showing the latest bookmarking option to the profile navigation menu. She also mentioned that the company has also considered few ways how the Bookmarks will work and currently testing them to come to the most efficient one. “We went through all the designed flows and picked the ones that are the easiest to navigate to test out with our community,” Koyama tweeted. “You told us that you want tweets you’ve bookmarked to be private, so only you can see it. We kept this in mind while creating designs for the feature.”

The bookmarking option is most probably will available below every tweet with other options such as like or retweet. Users just need to hit the bookmarking symbol to save the tweet for the future. According to the design that Koyama has shared the Bookmark section will be available in the user’s navigation menu along with the list and moments option. By clicking that the users can access all the bookmarked tweets. However, there are already few ways to mark a tweet that you won't get back to in the future such as liking it, retweeting it to yourself or copying it to in some note app. But, these either show your action on your profile or requires you to put much effort on the other bookmarking will need only tapping a single button.

According To the Twitter, the users always wanted a way to save tweets they might need in future in a personal way. The saved tweet can only be visible to the user, with the new feature the company is adding such option. This addition will help the users to save any particular information they want to bookmark from a tweet. There are many time times while using Twitter when you find a piece of information very useful for future, the bookmarking will be helpful in such situations. Twitter is also testing a new feature named ‘tweetstorm’ that will allow the users to trigger number tweets at once. The platform is making these changes to invite more users as it experienced no or very less user growth in previous quarters. The company shared that it had 330 million daily active users in the last quarter.

Keith Coleman, the company’s head of product tweeted back in October about the bookmarking feature first. He also said the top demand that Twitter receives from the users is bookmarking option, so, the company is building one. However, there is no information about the releasing date of the feature yet. Recently Twitter has also temporarily deactivated its blue tick approval process after a controversial approval.
