Google Assistant Routines: Trigger A Single Command To Get Multiple Actions Done

Personalize multiple actions with Google Assistant Routines

google assistant

Google Assistant routines are available now for the users. The giant has already announced its move of following the footsteps of Amazon in order to add multi-step smart home routine. These morning routines allow the users to get accomplished a number of actions including ( toggling lights, changing the thermostat, etc. ) all with a single voice command. Prior to this rollout, Google Assistant included a number of smart kid-friendly features.

In the last month’s conference, Google had already displayed the teaser of the approaching launch of routines in the US. There are six Good Morning routines at first available for the users including Good Morning, Bedtime, Leaving Home, Commuting To Work, Commuting Home, and, I’m Home. The commuting routines are only available from user’s phone and helps users to command their smart Google device with all the above-prescribed instructions.

These routines are specific to every individual’s voice, so different members of a house can set up their own routine in order to give their own commands. The full list of available options is available on Google’s routines support page. To access routines, users need to go to settings in the Google Home or Google Assistant app. They can find the settings under Home Control, Music, and Shortcuts. It seems that only Good Morning Routines have been made live right now. And, it is expected that others will soon be made available for users to use in a few months time.

In case, you are using an Android device, you could adjust the phone volume, fix the lights and thermostats, check the commute, hear the weather, calendar, reminders and much more. It will also take your command for playing music, radio, news as well as catch up with podcasts and audiobooks. However, this device lacks a few smart integrations that will soon be made available for the users.

Google has been working on the smart devices for quite a long time now and Google assistant’s availability to Android auto was one of the major developments. Google Assistant Routine is an absolute advantage for users. What could get better for them than having their coffee machine turned along with knowing the present weather conditions as soon as they say Good Morning Google?
