Samsung Electronics pledges to power millions of devices with AI by year-end 2026, aggressively expanding its Galaxy AI ecosystem worldwide.
Samsung Electronics has officially announced its aggressive strategy to dominate the AI era. The tech powerhouse confirmed today that it plans to double the number of mobile devices powered by Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence to a staggering 800 million units this year.
Samsung revealed that it successfully deployed Gemini-powered features across approximately 400 million devices, including smartphones and tablets, in 2025. By the end of 2026, that figure is set to hit 800 million.
The announcement, coming just days into 2026, marks one of the most significant scaling efforts in the history of mobile computing. The South Korean titan is ready to move past the experimentation stage and is all set for mass adoption.
All Products, All Functions, All Services
The driving force behind this expansion is T.M. Roh, co-CEO and Head of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) Business. In a statement, Roh outlined a hyper-accelerated roadmap.
"We will apply AI to all products, all functions, and all services as quickly as possible," Roh declared.
This ‘total integration’ strategy suggests that AI will no longer be a novelty feature reserved for flagship models like the Galaxy S series but will permeate Samsung's entire ecosystem. Roh emphasized that within the next six to twelve months, AI technologies would transition from premium perks to widespread, essential tools.
Skyrocketing Consumer Awareness
The gamble on AI appears to be paying off already. According to Samsung’s internal data, global consumer awareness of the "Galaxy AI" brand has skyrocketed from 30% to 80% in just one year.
Users are not just aware of the technology; they are actively integrating it into their daily lives. While AI-powered Search remains the most widely used feature, Samsung notes a rapid uptake in creative and productivity tools, including:
