Max Mamoyco launches MentalMirror

Date: July 27, 2024

The app features Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) among other techniques, which improve mental health with just 2 min a day usage.

Entrepreneur and mental health experts Maxim Mamyoco and Vladislav Vashkevich have launched their latest product MentalMirror, a self-care app designed to identify anxiety, depression and other mental health issues at an early stage and help in preventing it. The app was launched today on Google play store, whereas the App store version was launched a few days ago.

Latest discoveries on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques have illustrated their benefits on the well-being of the mental health which is achieved by creating a habit of everyday mindfulness and self-awareness with 2-3 minute reflection sessions.

Most people are struggling with the everyday workload and stress which not only impacts their overall performance but also hampers their mental health in more ways than one. The effects of anger, anxiety and instability are pretty evident in people’s lives. These mental shortcomings are disastrous not only for the professional lives of the people but also destroys the personal lives and peace of its victims. While experiencing similar problems in his own life, co-founder Maxim starts searching for some mental health framework that can be applied to track his pain-points and help in taking control when negative emotions kick in. After much effort and spending hours with experts, he discovered about Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which is aimed towards changing human's attitude and behaviour by analyzing and tracking their emotions, thoughts, images, and beliefs.

MentalMirror is the result of the success Maxim experienced with his endeavour for mental health. He was inspired to help countless people who are affected by these mental problems. The app helps its users to look at their "mental self" at any time and understand the most crucial mental states, triggers, and create a control strategy. All this is done by taking small 2-3 minute reflection sessions and focusing on oneself for this short time frame.

The app features unique reflection sessions that can be personalized for the user and his/her goals. For example, if the user wants to work on depression prevention, the application will automatically create a reflection session that correlates with depression, sadness and other similar emotions. If the user had a good day, the application will create a reflection session that will help find methods to stimulate these emotions next time. MentalMirror employs a control method strategy and has a broad recommendation of prevention/stimulation methods like breathing techniques for anger and calm time for irritability. After choosing suitable methods the user gets notifications about control methods performances and recommendations to change it if it’s not working.

“I am excited to launch the app today and make it free at the Product Hunt website for the whole day. This is just the beginning, so please do not hesitate to give me some feedback, share your ideas and suggestions which will help to improve the app.” Said co-founder Maxim. “We are also planning to add different reflection sessions (For example goal, behaviour, and thought reflections) and recommendations for different mental states in our app,” he added.
