Try ‘random’ option to send surprise GIFs to your friends.
There is no doubt that Instagram has replaced Facebook as the face of social media. The platform keeps introducing new features for the users to keep its popularity intact among the youngsters. First, it included the video calling, then ask me question sticker that flooded Instagram with users asking their followers to shoot queries. Now, the Facebook-owned company added another feature that lets the users send GIFs in direct messaging. The new GIF option, which is powered by GIPHY has been added by the company in the direct messaging window for users to use innovative animation during the conversations.
With the new GIF button in the direct one-to-one or group chat window, you can access to the vast collection of GIFs. The collection includes all the trending GIFs, or you can also search for any particular one by typing the keyword. Besides, there is a ‘random’ option that you can select to send a surprise GIF to someone based on your searched term. In order to honor the creators, Instagram has also added the attribute with the GIFs that will tell you who has created the one you are using. Along with this, the platform is also adding ‘see all by creators’ option to showcase all the animations created by curators and let the users know people behind these innovations.
The new addition could be a small step from the company, but the regular Instagram DM users know that GIFs could help them a lot during the conversations. The iOS and Android users will start receiving the update starting from today.
