Google App May Soon Have Custom Routine In Beta

Double tap command to get the things done

Google App Update

Routines in Google assistance are there for the users but only with ready-made tweaks. It, of course, affects the user experience to a great extent as the users need to search from the available commands only to let their wishes fit in the prescribed list of options available. However, the latest code in Google’s beta app is hinting at upcoming support for custom routines. With the new tweak, users can tell the assistance both their commands and the actions they want to get by commanding with the right words. For instance, the “movie night” command will dim the house light along with warming the ambience.

There are some additional commands pinned for sports lovers that would keep them updated with the latest score at the same time while the users are using other apps. It will let users know all the important happening in the sports activities without having to ask for Assistance to discover the related data card. There is double tap command available for getting things done and triple-tap command for the guide management.

As it is the case with any other beta release, there is no official confirmation on the arrival of these features in the app. Many-a-times updates are made available for the testing purpose only and they never make a successful arrival in the application. The case may be the same with this Google Assistance application. The updates are practical and can truly enlight the experience of the users if arrive at the application. Well, we need to wait for the official confirmation of the news.

Google’s current move may be its preparation to have its own devices against Amazon Alexa routine features that the shopping giant has recently added in its Android application. Google Assistance routine is, of course, an innovative offering for the users. The app’s prominent feature lies in the two way communication that makes it different from other Google offerings like Google Now that sits in users’ smartphones and computers to deliver the results for their queries.

Worth mentioning Google Assistance primarily interacts with the natural voice although the app also accepts the keyboard inputs. Additionally, Google Assistance is also available to search the internet just like Google Now. It can also schedule alarm and events along with adjusting hardware settings on users’ device.
