Great News! GA4 Shows Real-Time Users In The Last 5 Minutes
Date: May 24, 2024
Google used to show real-time users in the last 30 minutes but has now increased its accuracy by showing real-time users in the last 5 minutes.
Google Analytics has been the go-to tool for businesses and marketing teams to assess, track, and optimize their marketing efforts. Its in-depth information helps build a clear picture of what’s supposed to be done forward, whether it is retrying a campaign communication or changing the target audience. Google Analytics recently revamped to GA4, a more robust tool offering smarter and more advanced analytic features. Its recent upgrade includes bringing the real-time traffic data from the last 30 minutes to the last 5 minutes.
This proximity of tracking real-time users on a website or targeted landing page allows marketing teams to get accurate data to make better decisions. The change in real-time tracking capabilities will also specifically support SEO teams in analyzing the traffic inflow on their various efforts.
The dashboard now shows two data points: one for users who visited in the last 30 minutes and one for users who visited in the last 5 minutes.
Google has recently made more changes that support marketing operations and make the overall experience highly seamless. Users can directly export their GA4 data to Google Sheets, a feature that Google did not offer till now as it only allowed exporting in CSV and PDF formats.
Exporting your GA4 data to Google Sheets is now a breeze. Simply click on Reports from the top left menu, then hit the Share this report button in the top right. Select Download File, and you'll be presented with the option to Download PDF, CSV, or Export to Google Sheets. Your downloaded file will be conveniently available in your Downloads folder.
And here's the best part: when you download a report as a CSV or Google sheet, the file includes up to 5,000 rows of data. Google has remained a leader in the Mobile App Analytics Tool and software industry for over 20 years now. With these advanced features being added frequently, the tech giant will successfully retain its leadership position in the long run.
