Podcasts have become a thing now. However, they are still not discoverable for many users. But, Google's step of launching its own podcast may prove to be a significant move in this direction. Podcasts help us listen to everything we wish to gather information about. Google Podcast seems to make the task easier. The podcast app has been made available on the Play Store globally for the users.
The Google podcast app is integrated with Google assistant and that’s what we call icing on the cake. There are personalized recommendations too and that adds more to the set of offerings Google Podcast has to provide us with. Google Podcast lets you subscribe to any show you would like to listen. The embedded AI goodness would further recommend you shows depending upon your listening habits. So, either your interest lies in sports or you are a big fan of entertaining shows, Google Podcast would get you everything right there at your device. Another great news is Google Podcast seamlessly integrates with a bunch of other devices, which makes the offering much more useful for the users.
There are a series of guidelines that podcasters need to follow when it comes to optimizing their podcasts for the Google. However, nothing can match the effectivity of podcasts as a storytelling medium. It gives you instant access to the massive pool of information on topics ranging from research to news and to the informative ones.
There will be a separate board to look after Google’s Podcast offering. The members would include talented geek from different walks of life. Having a file size of 68KB, Google Podcast seems to be an impressive offering for the users. Google’s Android-only podcast may soon reach to Apple lovers, but they need to wait for now. The frequent updates will keep adding on the new features in order to make the Google Podcast offering much more prominent. The “For You” section contains it all for the users regarding the episodes they either download or are in progress. There will be a separate section to show the most trending podcasts.
