Google is tweaking its map to add another small yet significant tool on its Map application. The latest addition helps riders find a parking place nearest to their arrival destination. The release is, of course, a significant one for the Android users but unfortunately available to only 25 US cities which include:
Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas/Fort Worth, DC, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, and Tampa.
In order to access the advantage users simply have to update their apps to add Find Parking feature.
once the users have updated their destination, the "find parking" option gives you a list of nearby places with parking availability. Post that you can not only choose the desired parking location but also gives you the direction to intended destination.
Google had recently rolled out a similar update for the iOS users as “Parking Difficulty”
The update was rolled out for the users residing in the cities including: Alicante, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Cologne, Darmstadt, Dusseldorf, London, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, Milan, Montreal, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Sao Paulo, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Toronto, Valencia, Vancouver.
For a while now, Google map users in the US were only able to identify if parking space was available or not? The recent update is an addition to former.
For making the experience smoother for the users, Google is utilizing machine learning and historic parking data in order to offer accurate prediction to the users while searching for the free parking spots.
The internet giant is continually striving hard to make it easier for users to find parking spots even in busy localities. All thanks to the recent update, the facility is at least available to a bunch of users!
