Movies & TV App On iOS And Android

Microsoft may be taking another step to make a more significant presence in the Android and iOS ecosystem. Reports are coming out from a source that the company may be working on a Movies & Tv app for the two dominant mobile Operating Systems. According to Windows Central, a reliable source has revealed that Microsoft is developing an app for iOS and Android users. However, we did not receive any official words on the rumor from the company, yet.

It was not so long since Microsoft accepted that the Windows 10 for mobile is dead. Last year, the company stopped putting its efforts in the pursuit of making Windows mobile a success. Microsoft understands that Android and iOS are the leaders now and it has to join them for surviving in the Mobile app industry. Considering the situation the company made available many Windows apps including web browser Edge and the Microsoft Launcher on both the platforms. Now, the Windows Central reveals that Microsoft is planning to push a Movie and TV show app on the two leading mobile Operating Systems.

If the information is correct, then Microsoft will be directly competing to iTunes and Google Play Music & TV. Both the media streaming apps from their respective OS makers are popular among the users, which makes it difficult for Microsoft grab attention for its upcoming app.

Also, another source claims that Microsoft will be joining Movies Anywhere soon to make things convenient for the users. Movies Anywhere is a media streaming program that enables to play media anywhere from different supported digital stores. In simple words, if you have purchased a movie from iTunes so you will be able to play the same movie on Google Play Store without purchasing again.

However, the information is still a rumor as we don't have any substantial evidence backing up the information. Besides, the sources have also asked us not to expect the app soon as it is still under development.
