The program requires high-quality original videos that are longer than one minute, but TikTok has not disclosed the amount of money allocated for the program or the eligibility criteria, except that users must be at least 18 years old and in good standing.
The program is designed based on feedback from creators on the current Creator Fund, which rewards creators for popular videos. The new program offers a higher average gross revenue for qualified video views, acknowledging the concerns raised by creators about the low payouts under the Creator Fund.
Once creators enroll in the new program, they will not be able to revert back to the Creator Fund. The launch of the new program marks a significant jump from the 10,000-follower requirement under the current Creator Fund, though TikTok has not disclosed the number of followers creators need to be eligible.
