Swiggy Hires Dale Vaz As The Company's New Head Of Engineering And Data Science

Swiggy, India based food delivery service has appointed its new Engineering head for the company’s exponential growth. Dale Vaz has been appointed as the company’s new Head of Engineering and Data Science. He will be leading Swiggy’s talented technical team for boosting up the company’s technical operations. Dale Vaz will be working in the companionship of Rahul Jaimini, Swiggy CTO and will be directly reporting to Swiggy CEO, Sriharsha Majety. The new Head of Engineering will be responsible for carrying out the company’s technological strategy and Swiggy’s upcoming AI-based platform.

Dale Vaz has spent 11 years as Director of Software Engineering at Amazon India before joining the squad at Swiggy. At Amazon, he was handling the functions and operations at different verticals including Consumer Tech, Mobile Engineering, Payments Engineering, New Initiatives and Data Engineering. Dale Vaz is a valuable addition to the Swiggy’s team as he comprises beneficial experience and expertise that could help the platform to overcome many hurdles. Moreover, under his guidance, Swiggy will be able to convert several ideas into reality. Appointment of Dale Vaz will speed up the process of several initiatives on which the Swiggy team works. 

Besides, the new Swiggy AI driven platform is under development that really needs technical expertise. The former Amazon employee will be taking over the development process for a quality result. Swiggy is planning to transform its platform with the help of Artificial Intelligence completely. The new platform will be able to assistant more efficiently to the users offering an unrivaled experience and will come with improved hyperlocal discovery & on-demand delivery.
