Chinese handset giant OnePlus is now rolling out an Android Pie-based OxygenOS update, shortly after stirring OxygenOS Open Beta 22 and Open Beta 24 on OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 smartphones.

Post the Open Beta bug fixing update, both the OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones will be directed towards OxygenOS 9.0.0 version. As the update is rolled out in batches, not everyone would get access to OTA update so quickly.

OnePlus says,

OxygenOS 9.0.0 is a stable release, which means that if you are on stable release, you would be updated first. Whereas, if you are on the Open Beta Program, you must have received the update in the last week itself.

Among other OnePlus devices, OnePlus 6 has already received the Android Pie OxygenOS update, whereas OnePlus 6T smartphone was initially released with the update itself.

Samsung has begun updating the Galaxy S9 to Android Pie, while Asus is yet to release the update for Zenfone 5Z.
