Chinese handset giant OnePlus is now rolling out an Android Pie-based OxygenOS update, shortly after stirring OxygenOS Open Beta 22 and Open Beta 24 on OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 smartphones.

Post the Open Beta bug fixing update, both the OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones will be directed towards OxygenOS 9.0.0 version. As the update is rolled out in batches, not everyone would get access to OTA update so quickly.

OnePlus says,

Along with security features and stability improvements, Android Pie update has also enhanced the camera feature with integrated Google lens mode.

New Do Not Disturb(DND) mode has also been added with adjustable settings.

As per the reports in the company forum, the download size of OxygenOS 9.0.0 update for OnePlus 5 is 1742MB, and for OnePlus 5T it measures 1748MB.

OxygenOS 9.0.0 is a stable release, which means that if you are on stable release, you would be updated first. Whereas, if you are on the Open Beta Program, you must have received the update in the last week itself.

Samsung has begun updating the Galaxy S9 to Android Pie, while Asus is yet to release the update for Zenfone 5Z.
