Google Photos introduces 'Magic Eraser' to non-Pixel devices as part of Google One subscription perks

Date: February 24, 2023

Google announced its popular AI-powered photo editing tool, Magic Eraser, the new features will be available to Google One subscribers.

Google has announced that its popular photo-editing tool "Magic Eraser," which uses AI to remove unwanted content from images, will now be available to Google One subscribers in addition to existing Pixel owners.

Along with Magic Eraser, subscribers will also receive a new HDR video effect, exclusive collage Styles, and more editing tools. Previously only available to Google Pixel 6 and 7 owners, Magic Eraser will now be available to all Google One subscribers on both Android and iOS. It will also be available to Pixel 5a and older Pixel smartphones, with no Google One subscription required. This means that even if you don't own a Pixel phone, you can still enjoy the Magic Eraser feature on your device.

In addition to these editing tools, Google One subscribers will also receive free shipping when ordering photo prints from online stores in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and EU. Although these features on their own may not be worth paying for, the combined package offered alongside other perks, backup and sync options, and extra storage has made Google One's subscription a top seller in the app stores.

Google says that Magic Eraser, the HDR effect, and new collage Styles will begin rolling out today, but it may take a few weeks to reach all users globally. The free shipping, however, is already live.

Don't miss out on these amazing new features and perks, become a Google One subscriber today!
