Google New Anthos Open Platform Rolled Out In Beta Version

As per some recent media reports, Google was working on a new cloud-based platform and after much anticipation, Google has officially announced Anthos, a Cloud Services Platform.

Anthos lets the user build and manage modern hybrid applications across environments. Anthos is powered by Kubernetes and a few other industry-leading open-source technologies that promise to transform the architectural approach.

As per Google, Anthos “allows you to move faster than ever without compromising security or increasing complexity.” Also, it will help by becoming a strategic enabler for apps with microservices architecture, containers, and a service mesh delivered.

Here are some significant features of Anthos, a hybrid, and multi-cloud product:

  • Modernize in place: It will modernize the app and propel the business agility by making the product faster and optimize the resources with the help of Kubernetes services, which is managed by Google.
  • Automate policy and security at scale: It will save time and will provide better awareness, consistency, and control of the product. The user can define and manage the configuration in one place.
  • Consistent experience: Anthos is designed to run everywhere like on-premises or in the cloud, with an added benefit of consistent view and controls across your environments.

Google Open Platform

Google has confirmed that Anthos Migrate is currently available in beta version and after its successful run, it will be rolled out as a stable program to help the organization by auto-migrating virtual machines.

Interestingly, Google is already working with some of its ecosystem partners to better manage the software and infrastructure investments by introducing cloud services. With Anthos in place, it will help IT companies to perform better.
