Apple, the most valuable company on the planet has made it only because of its iPhone craze across the globe. The company has been introducing new upgrades to the smartphone lineup since last 10 years. Over the years Apple has made the brand one of the most powerful smartphone in the world. With the new upgrades, every year iPhone sets a new standard for its competitors and offer new features to the Apple fans. Last year, the company introduced iPhone 8 and iPhone X where the phone with Notch display was the highlight. However, the iPhone 8 was able to prove that it is capable of coming out of the shadow of the iPhone X.

The camera quality is much better than the previous model

The wireless charging and glass design is something worth paying for

The users with older iPhones will understand the significant changes that Apple has provided with iPhone 8. The smartphone contains a lot of power and latest specification under the hood with amazing design.

Apple iPhone 8 Design

  • Glass Back
  • Looks similar to the iPhone 7
  • Wireless charging

Apple iPhone 8 comes with the most interesting design change for the Apple fans that makes it more premium looking. Apple moved away from the aluminum back with iPhone 8 as it is designed the phone with glass rear. Yes, the new Apple iPhone has given the glass back that is being used by most of the smartphone manufacturers for their flagship phones. The company was using the metal back since 6, this is the first time Apple has included the glass to the rear side of the iPhones. Along with this, the iPhone 8 looks similar to the iPhone 7 with a minute difference in the dimensions of the phone. The smartphone is also a little bit heavy in weight and the front of the phone isn't possible to differentiate from the previous iPhones. The company has incorporated the glass design at the back which also brings the wireless charging to the phone. However, Apple missed the most trendy design tweak that is going around, the bezel-less front. iPhone 8 still has the big bezel at the top and bottom, however, the company has launched another iPhone to compete with the bezel-less smartphones.

The iPhone 8 includes the Apple’s iconic home button at the bottom of the front side that also works as the fingerprint sensor. The camera of the phone is located on the top left side if the back along with a LED.

Apple iPhone 8 Display

  • 4.7 inch IPS Retina display
  • 750 x 1334 pixels resolutions
  • The display is similar to the iPhone 7
  • True Tone technology improves the display quality

Apple doesn't take much interest in improving the iPhone 8’s display as the phone comprises the display spaces similar to the iPhone 7. Both the iPhones have 4.7-inch IPS display with a 750 x 1334 resolution that is quite capable of delivering the good experience. However, Apple uses the True Tone technology to improve the display performance. Although the display remains the same in the upgraded iPhone you can feel the difference that company brought with the new technology. The colors are more natural and the gaming experience has enhanced due to better color reproduction. The phone may have smaller display compared to the other flagship smartphones but it makes a bit easily operated by a single hand.

Th display of the phone comes with an Ion-strengthened glass and oleophobic coating for protection against the starches. In addition, Apple has given iPhone 8 IP67 certification that will protect the display from water and dust.

Apple iPhone 8 Specifications

  • 2GB RAM with G4/128GB storage
  • Hexa-Core processor
  • 12MP rear camera and 7MP front camera
  • 1821 mAh battery
  • Runs on iOS 11

Apple may have saved its efforts on the design of the iPhone 8 but the specification of the phone shows its intention to make it a powerful device. Th smartphone comprises the latest hardware support from the company to elevate the user experience. The phone uses the Apple’s all-new A11 Bionic chip that has been used by the company for the first time. Along with this, the chipset is coupled with a Hexa-Core processor Apple has included into the phone to make it lightning fast. In, addition, the processing unit of the phone comes with 2G RAM and available in two internal storage variant including a 64GB and 128GB.

Apple iPhone 8’s rear camera comes with a 12MP elans that have f/1.8mm aperture and capable of capturing amazing shots. Th rear camera offers some of the features including Geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video, and 8MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR for the users. In order to capture the high-quality images. The camera also possess phase detection autofocus, OIS, and a quad-LED dual-tone flash. Apple iPhone 8 runs on the latest operating system that is iOS 11 to provide the best experience to the users. The new platform of the iPhone comes a refresh control center, merged notification bar and a number of new features. The iPhone 8 comes with an 1821 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery that is smaller than that of the iPhone 7. However, the good news is that during the review we have found that Apple iPhone 8 lasts longer than its predecessor after full charging.

Talking about the phone’s performance, we are pretty much happy with the upgrades as the phone does everything better than the previous model. The new chipset and Hexa-Core processor makes it super fast and capable of the performing almost every task you throw at it. Along with this the camera of the phone also captures high quality and stable images than iPhone 7. The image quality and the autofocus accuracy has been improved by the Apple for high-quality snaps.

The Verdict

The Apple iPhone 8 comes with a powerful hardware support and the strong specifications that make it a strong competitor. The phone works amazingly well and speed of the phone is notable and it also comprises a wealthy camera. Apple iPhone 8  performed well during our review process we made it go through a various test against the iPhone 7 and shows good results. However, we are disappointed with the design as at this price range you will be buying old iPhone 7s, there is nothing new. The phone is excellent for the average iPhone users but if you have some higher hopes considering the price tag the must forget this phone. Moreover, the iPhone X has overshadowed the iPhone 8 and ruined its any chance of getting the users attention.
