Project Objective
As a founder working in AI and prorduction-grade software, I tend to be quite demanding when evaluating an external engineering partner. I’m less interested in impressive presentations and more interested in architecture, engineering judgment, security, maintainability and whether the team understands the implications of the technology they are building.
That was what stood out to us about Pharos Production.
Our engagement required blockchain expertise alongside a broader understanding of how the technology would fit into a production software environment. The Pharos team was able to engage at the architectural level, challenge assumptions where necessary and explain the trade-offs behind their recommendations rather than simply implementing whatever was initially requested.
I particularly appreciated their approach to smart-contract and blockchain-related work. There was a clear awareness that getting something to function is only the first step; security considerations, integration boundaries, scalability and future maintainability all matter when you're putting a system into production.
From a founder's perspective, that's the difference between hiring developers and hiring an engineering partner.
The communication throughout the engagement was also strong. Technical discussions were direct, issues were addressed without unnecessary friction and the team was comfortable working through difficult engineering questions with us.
I've worked with enough technology vendors to know that genuine technical depth is relatively easy to claim and much harder to demonstrate. Pharos Production demonstrated it through the way their engineers approached the project.
