OnePlus and McLaren all set to speed up the curiosity!
As stated by the founder and CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau,
“McLaren and OnePlus were born in a similar way - with a big dream to create something special.”
Smartphone brand OnePlus has announced its collaboration with UK supercar brand McLaren to create a special edition OnePlus 6T or most probably McLaren 6T.
McLaren is well-known for being an automotive pioneer, with the original McLaren F1 being the world’s fastest production car at one point in the past two decades.
The landing page of McLaren and OnePlus talks about their collaboration, which surely hints their excitement about the same.
The two brands will unveil the first stage of the collaboration at 9:30 am on the 11th of December 2018 at the ‘Salute to Speed’ launch event at McLaren Technology Centre, UK.

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, stated:
“ The OnePlus brand is synonymous with speed and power, two values that McLaren likewise strives to deliver with every car we build. Bringing together the inventive, pioneering spirit shared by both OnePlus and McLaren is a firm statement of intent to leverage our collective powers and break new ground for innovative ideas and technology.”
What makes us so sure about it being a limited edition is OnePlus’ team up with other brands in the past to create a limited edition of the Avengers Version of OnePlus 6 and Star Wars edition of OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus isn't the first phone manufacturer to link up with an automotive firm. BlackBerry, and more recently Huawei, have produced a number of Porsche Design handsets, while Chinese firm Oppo has its own collaboration with Lamborghini.
OnePlus has always hailed themselves as the ‘King of speed,’ and now when they have partnered with the actual ‘King,’ we are sure they are going to overtake everyone in the race.
