Asus, the smartphone maker that is slowly making its comeback in the market with alluring deals for the user. The company is now targeting the Asian market with its budget-friendly yet powerful smartphones. The Taiwan based company has launched the upgrades to Zenfone series earlier this year containing three different variants. Now, the company is ready to drop another upgrade in the lineup. We are talking about Asus Zenfone 5 Lite 2018, the smartphone is rumored for a long time now. Finally, the company has announced that it will be launching the phone later this year. According to the resources and reports, the Asus Zenfone 5 Lite 2018 could come in October 2018. With the upcoming smartphone, the company plans to offer a powerful budget-friendly device for the users. In order to make a strong position in the Indian market, Asus is working hard against its rivals like Xiaomi and Samsung.
In order to know whether Asus has chances in the mid-range smartphone market with Zenfone 5 lite or not we need to go through all the details available about the phone.
Asus will be redesigning its Zenfone line up with the new design pattern in Zenfone 5 Lite 2018. However the company has not revealed anything yet, but there are a number of rumors and leaked images of the phone. The phone is expected to come with a metal unibody having the full glass on the front side. Asus Zenfone lite 2018 will be similar to its previous iteration in size. The 6-inch big screen will be placed in a small bezel, and it might have a notch, but we don't support that idea. At the back of the phone, there could a dual camera placed vertically at the center just above the fingerprint sensor. Asus logo will be mentioned at below of back cover. The bezel will be a smaller compared to the recently launched Asus smartphones. Besides, the leaked images also show that there could be an antenna line son al the four corners of the phone. Overall I don't think there will be much difference in the recently launched Asus Zenfone Lite and Asus Zenfone 5 Lite 2018.
The hardware support of Asus Zenfone 5 lite 2018 is expected to be a dominant setup. The upcoming Asus smartphone could come with a 6 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. Asus Zenfone Lite 2018 display could support of 1080 X 2160 pixel resolution and provides 18:9 aspect ratio. The aspect ratio of the phone is possible due to the less bezel around the display that makes the phone look more prominent. With a small bezel and 18:9 aspect ratio Zenfone 5 lite 2018 manages to have the 75.9% screen to body ratio. The display of the phone somehow looks similar to the recently launched Zenfone 5 lite. However, we expect the company to upgrade few things including the PPi and aspect ratio for making Zenfone 5 lite 2018 better.
The phone runs on Qualcomm SDM630 Snapdragon 630/Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset that is enough for the smartphone in this price range. The chipset of the phone is coupled with an Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53/Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processing unit that makes the phone fast and capable of dealing with heavy apps. The CPU and the chipset of the phone are backed up by the upgraded RAM along with increased internal storage. Zenfone 5 lite 2018 could come in two different options where you can either have 32GB internal storage with 3GB RAM or 64GB storage with 4GB of RAM.
The camera department which is expected to consists of quite powerful hardware support. The rear camera is composed of a dual lens including the pair of a 16MP lens having f/2.0 aperture. The front camera of the Asus Zenfone 5 Lite 2018 incorporates a 20MP camera along with a LED flash for high-quality selfies. The rear camera that comes with 16 MP lens is expected to be powerful enough to deliver high-quality snaps. Besides, the selfie camera could come with LED support and extra options like camera beauty.
Asus hasn't announced the release of the smartphone yet. However, there are some rumors about the launch. According to the leaks, the company will be launching the Asus Zenfone 5 Lite 2018 in October. Along with this, the phone is expected to come with a price tag of Rs.24,990.
