The T-Mobile OnePlus 6T variant may get delay due technical team approval
OnePlus 6 that was launched by the company couple of months back turned out to be a great hit. The smartphone was an instant sale, and high-end specs made the consumer to buy it right away. Now, finally, the company is coming with the upgraded version of the smartphone very soon. OnePlus launches a slightly improved version of its flagship smartphone every fall of the year. The recent news reveals that the company will be launching the 6T via its global online portal and T-Mobile in October.
CNET reports that OnePlus has joined the hands with US network carrier for selling the upcoming OnePlus 6T on physical stores. Earlier, there were rumours that the smartphone maker was in talks with one of the network carrier for the launch, at that time we didn't know which one. According to some reports back then it was assumed that either T-Mobile or AT&T could be the one that OnePlus looking to partner with. Now, the news makes it clear that it was T-Mobile that will be selling the upcoming OnePlus 6T. If everything goes well, then this will be the first time that we can actually go to a physical store and buy a OnePlus device instead of going online.
The move from the Chinese company is understandable as most of the Americans buy their smartphones from the network carrier they are using. On the other hand, OnePlus 6T offers high-end premium specs that are available at the half cost of the other premium smartphones available in the US markets like Samsung Galaxy and iPhone X. If everything goes into OnePlus favor, then it could experience a sudden boom in the sale.
However, the launch isn't that simple as it looks, OnePlus is a Chinese company, and T-Mobile is from the US, the political relations aren't that healthy between these countries. This could hinder the launch process, but OnePlus is a small company for now, so maybe it won't get much attention. The other aspect that is the troubling OnePlus plan to launch 6T is the approval from T- Mobile’s technical team. In order to get OnePlus 6T on T-Mobile’s shelves, the smartphone maker has to acquire the technical team approval. According to the resources the approval process is in progress, and it might take time if something is not according to T-Mobile. If the process takes longer time than it is possible that the company may release 6T for T-Mobile after the global variant launch.
On an Interesting note, the company will be providing customize OnePlus 6T models for T-Mobile that will be different from the standard model. The customized model will be specially tailored for the T-Mobile users that will be supporting 600 MHz bands.
