Steps To Send A Text Message From Email

Step 1- Regardless of the email client open your email account and compose an email.

Step 2- Now, instead of the email address type 10 digit mobile number of the person you want to send text in the recipient box.

Step 3- Here is the important thing, after typing the number you need add the @gateway of the network carrier of the recipient, for example, mobilenumber@vmobi.com.

Step 4- Now, type your desired message in the content area and press the send button, your text message will be sent to the recipient.

In the above table, you have noticed that the MMS gateways of the carriers are also mentioned there. You are sending the message via an email that means you have a character limit of 160. If your text message goes beyond 160 characters, then it will be converted to the MMS, and the carriers will require the MMS gateway to deliver your email as an SMS successfully. And also remember some of the carriers does not provide the MMS service to a customer by default, in that case, the message will not be delivered to the recipient.   

How To Send A Text Message Using Gmail

There is a convenient method for the regular Gmail users to send text messages. Gmail has a dedicated Google Chrome extension that makes it possible to send the text messages via email quickly. The extension needs to add to the Chrome browser, and it will enable the text messaging via email. Here is the step by step process to send the text from Gmail.

1. Open your chrome web browser, download the extension from here.

2. Now, add the extension to chrome browsers and allow the permissions to it.

3. Once you add the extension to chrome, you will start seeing a mobile phone icon on your Gmail window.

4. Compose the email with desired content in it, click the mobile icon it will open up the Gmail contact and select the contact you want to text message.
