OnePlus 6 is expected to come with the glass-body that is in the trend among the flagship smartphones right now. Along with this, it is confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will have notch just like the Apple’s iPhone X. Moreover, the smartphone maker will be coming with bigger display without increasing phone’s overall size. According to the resources, the device will be coming with a 90 percent screen to body ratio. There is a number of leaked images of the phone that supports the notch and bigger screen, however, the image shared by OnePlus itself gives a hint about the design. The OnePlus 6 is placed under the 5T and seems more refined than the predecessor with the absence of alert slider.
OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau has confirmed that the upcoming phone will have the bigger display. As the 5T owns a 6.01-inch display the OnePlus 6 is expected to come with a 6.28 inch full HD display. The rumors suggest that the phone will have an Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that will be delivering 10180X 2280 pixels resolution. The screen will have a 19:9 aspect ratio and will be protected Corning Gorilla Glass 5 along. As we already told you that the OnePlus 6 will be getting a notch at the top, Pete Lau also said that the company will roll out an update to hide the notch in the future.
The company launched the OnePlus 5T with the latest hardware support in 2017 for people to use high-end features without spending more than the device worth it. Now, with the same strategy, the manufacturer will be coming with the latest specification in the OnePlus 6. Based on the report and leaks the phone is expected to be running on a Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 chipset that will be used for the Octa-core 4x2.7 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4x1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver processor. The device will be powered by 8/6 GB RAM coupled with the 128GB/64GB internal storage. The rear camera will have a dual lens containing a 16MP and 20MP lenses with phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. Along with this, there will be a 16MP front camera having f/2.0 aperture with gyro EIS, Auto HDR, and 1080p support. The upcoming smartphone will be equipped with an improved battery with 3450 mAh which will be non-removable. Talking about the software support the company will definitely be giving the latest Stock Android version to the users. This means the OnePlus 6 will be having Android 8.1 (Oreo) right out of the box. In addition to this, the company also announced that the upcoming device will have a 3.5m jack for the music lovers and also will be the first smartphone with water resistance. The phone is expected to be dual SIM without the support for the microSD card.
The release date of the device has been already confirmed by the company as it will be coming on 16 May and the smartphone will be available for the users to buy from 21st May at selected locations. According to the leaks and rumors the OnePlus 6 price is expected to be higher than that of the 5T. Some of the resources suggested the price of the smartphone will be $749.
