Google lives in the world of its own. The world of apps and games in this world is mesmerizing enough to let the users dwell for hours. And, when there are impressive apps, the outside world must know the same. Although the technical world is prompt enough to have all the related knowledge, a recognition is worth to get all the eyes on the offerings and the excellence that giant recognizes as Google Play Awards. The write-up has been developed to cover the nominees for 2018 Google Play Awards.
Different teams at Google giving emphasis on quality, design, and technical performance along with the apps having a high star rating and adhering to Android vitals (addition of more features on Android platform) analyze the apps to offer Google Play Awards. To be considered as an apt nominee, the app needs to achieve a major update since April 2017 or must have launched after that.
This year Google has categorized the awards in nine different categories that are way different than the previous year as Google is focusing on elements like well-being, accessibility, and social impact, more than platforms. There are awards for combined AR and VR category, some of the carryovers from the last year as Standout Indie and Standout Startup. Both of these categories are now joined by Standout Well-Being App and Standout Build for Billions Experience. Meanwhile, five different awards are there in the categories including AR/VR, Accessibility Experience, Social Impact, Community Building Game, and Breakthrough Hit.
