Today WhatsApp and Facebook revealed Q2 2017 stats showing the user growth and revenue stats for this quarter. Where Whatsapp topped the list in number user by leading behind the rivals like Instagram and SnapChat while Facebook faces slight downfall in the results. Mark Zuckerberg updates the WhatsApp Q2 figures on his profile over the Facebook profile and also gratitudes the users.

WhatsApp with its status feature which is the clone of the Snapchat’s  story options reached more than 1 billion daily users. The chatting apps seem to take the cloned feature around every corner of the world before it's actual inventor. WhatsApp now attained 1 billion daily users and 1.3 billion monthly active users around the globe. The status feature currently holds the attention of 250 million users. The rival Snapchat is way behind the WhatsApp with only 166 million users on the entire app.

The status feature of the WhatsApp has given a boost to the user growth of the WhatsApp in this quarter. The status story feature of WhatsApp currently has 250 million daily active users, which is same as the Instagram story feature, Instagram has 700 million of overall users per month. According to the growth stats, almost 76% of the WhatsApp users come back daily to the App. WhatsApp users around the globe send 55 billion of messages,4.5 billion of images and 1 billion of videos per day. In 2016 February WhatsApp had 1 billion of users monthly and only 450 million users monthly back in 2014 when Facebook bought it.

Talking about the Parental company Facebook recorded a downfall in the number users and revenue as well this quarter. The social media giant shared it earning reports on Wednesday which includes the revenue of $9.16 billion along with the profit of $1.32 per share. This quarter number of the shows the 45% of year over year revenue growth with slips down from the last quarter which was 49.24%.

Facebook currently handling the 2.006 billion users, which increased from 1.94 billion last quarter with the growth rate of 3.4 which less than that of the last quarters 4.3%.

But, here is the catch Facebook made more profit than Google in this quarter, which is the first time in the history. Facebook's garnered the profit of $3.894 billion by beating the Google who extracted the profit of $3.254 as it has to face the antitrust fine of $2.7 billion from the EU. The Facebook showed the 71% of the YOY growth in this quarter.

According to the Facebook, 66% of its user or around 1.32 users visit the Facebook service on the daily basis. Mobiles played the major contributor the huge revenue for the Facebook. The mobile ad has accounted for the ad revenue with 87% or 8 billion, which is increased by the 2% from the last quarter.
