Amazon Music App soon to overtake mobile as the most used platform for listening music
Amazon music app has added a new feature of voice command ‘Alexa’ for Android and iOS. This feature is easily accessible through an available ‘Alexa button’ in the app. However, this newly launched feature is currently accessible by the users of UK, Germany, USA, and Austria. Alexa can play the music by genre, decade, mood, tempo and one can say lyrics if he/she forgets the name of the song.
The advantage of this feature is that users don’t need to type on mobile for playing music through this app, if they are busy in cooking or washing dishes, you can still play music by giving commands to play the song of your choice. Alexa can instantly respond to the commands like ‘play song of the day, play music for the workout or play Indian Classical Music’ etc.
There are reports from International journals that Alexa has turned to be one of the most used platforms on mobile for listening music due to the huge number of Amazon customers. Apart from the music feature, another factor that can contribute to the success of Alexa is the Amazon’s high quality echo smart speakers which are intensely incorporated with the music offerings of Alexa.
As of now, Amazon is on the third position in the music subscription arcade after Spotify and Apple Music. However, another report says that music companies are preparing well to give a tough competition to Amazon Music Services. Potential competitors of Amazon music service are seeking ways to categorize and tag songs and finding options for making these data more responsive to voice assistant applications like Alexa.
It is more intriguing to find out, what will be the move of Amazon’s competitors, will they be able to come up something better than Alexa? And what will be the Amazon’s strategy to tackle such potential competitors?
We’ll keep tracking the answers of such possible questions and provide you all the further updates of the news.
