Uber Rolls Out a New Feature for Trucking Apps

Uber Rolls Out a New Feature for Trucking Apps

Date: March 24, 2020

The new feature is meant to make it easy for the drivers to be in the thread for performing multiple jobs.

Uber freight app for iOS & Android is all set to add two innovative features for the users. The freight service was rolled out back in May, and this innovative feature is all set to make the app much more innovative for the users. The features are meant to make it easy for the drivers to be in the thread for performing multiple jobs.

With the new update, it will get easier for the Uber truck drivers to show their availability. Known as post my truck, the new rollout is the option for the Uber drivers to showcase when and where they will remain available with their trucks empty.

It is also crucial for these drivers to mark their availability with specific types, including (short, medium, long, haul, etc.). Depending upon the details given, these drivers will get the notifications when they are matched with cargo loads that fit their preferences.

This Uber news update is very much similar to the actions Uber drivers do when they mark themselves “available” for a new ride to get showcased on the rider’ map. However, Uber has made it clear that both the features work differently from each other on the technological background.

“Reloads,” another innovative feature, helps truck drivers to find the next job. With this innovative feature, the reload services will show up a certain kind of job they are considering and the one they have already taken. This innovative feature means that Uber drivers no longer have to start a new search available in the city. They will quickly get the nearby notifications available.

These innovative Uber Exclusive features have certainly given more power to Uber to be user-friendly for the drivers too. Well, the services have been rolled out, but Uber has not cleared the number of drivers currently using the feature.
