It seems like social media giants are giving back to back answers to each other with new features in their app. Whatsapp with its story feature Instagram introduces its website option and Facebook is now even updating its app. Recently Facebook has given a story function which is followed by the lite version of the app and then a barcode option.
This feature will show you that what and how many people are discussing the searched topic around the globe.
When you search in the search bar for anything along with the pages and people there is also section will appear named Latest conversation. The section will tell you how many people currently discussing the topic you searched. You can open the relevant discussion named Latest Conversation and joined the discussion.
This addition from the Facebook is basically is embedded with the goal to enable the user to know what's going around. The user can directly know the views and opinions of people around the world and share his own instead of engaging with socially share content.
The idea of catching the views of others via Facebook post is not a new thing on the platform. Earlier when you enter a broader -keyword in the search section it results in the pages containing blogs articles, videos, pics and comments on relevant search. However, Latest Conversation gives precise results without any mediatic content. If a user wants to know about a topic, can have the real-time discussion with others in Latest Conversation section.
“Latest Conversation” is itself a section with the results of the searched topic and shows how many people are talking about it along with living updating. It is a great way to know the distinct views and thoughts on the topic from every corner of the world. However, it is not necessary every time you understand the discussion sometimes it may be not in your native language as people are talking around the world.
Right now this feature is not that much convenient and has an issue while looking to participate in the conversation. It will not show you the latest comment or post on the topic in real time like twitter does instead it will alert you with the “New Post” and then scroll you up to the latest content. The page remains the static which makes it a bit effort demanding which eventually lead the user stop using it after some time.
