iOS have AR benefit over Android Oreo

Android published date 5th July, 2017 Ariana Johnson

The world is purely converted into a digital driven environment and smartphones have changed everything around us. The protagonist play by the mobile application in this transformation as the whole concept and way of business and enterprises have been redefined. The never ending evolution of the technology is adding new and smarter.

Last month both Google hosted its annual I/O and revealed the new generation operating system features. While a few weeks later Apple organised its WWDC 2017 and give us the full view to new iOS11. Both the tech giant have new and enhanced version of their respective operating system to release soon.

So which one is better, iOS 11 or Android O? We will find the answer to this question at end of this blog.

Both the companies have released their developer versions to give  developers access. On the basis of the developer tests and the features revealed by the companies, we have following information.

Android O

Let's have a look upgraded features of Android

  • Notification dot on icon of the app when something pops up within the app

  • It comprises multitasking picture in picture mode

  • The auto-fill feature will automatically fill up the username and password in the app for the user to quickly go.

  • Improved battery life by killing the apps used to drain app in the background along with the changed background colour.

  • The security is tightened with new Play Protect to save the phone from malware apps.

  • A smarter way of text selection, if you are looking for the number the, fastest way to dial it will be suggested. And same goes with the searching for an address over the google search.

  • More customised notification centre, user can control the app's notification

iOS 11

  • Easy and convenient way to transfer monies with Apple Pay via iMessage.

  • Enhanced VR effects now attached to the iPhone.

  • Integrated enhanced sound effects and speakers to deliver an effective sound experience.

  • Improvised live photos and photo effects.

  • DND, active while driving and sends the messages automatically the one is calling or texting.

Siri Vs Google Assitance

Both the companies have already equipped their respective platforms with voice assistance. Siri for the Apple and Google Assistance for the Android phones, both the voice assistance have some upgrades from their creators.

Siri now has male voice to help the user in order to solve the queries. While Google is being one step ahead of the Apple, have provided a camera search related query to the user via Google Assistance. Like you are at a restaurant with your friends and they have been arguing over a dish and you don't have any idea about it. All you need to do is just show the Google dish via camera and type the query in case you don't wanna speak it will tell you everything.

AR AND VR Comparison

Apple has announced the AR Toolkit and it is considered as the biggest introduction in the AR across the Globe. However, Google has already launched Tango for  AR and Daydream for VR have already made us awestruck. Goggles headset for both AR and VR have taken the gaming experience to whole new dimension. Maybe Apple yet to release the biggest invention but currently, Google is dominating the department.

Messaging Service

Apple has upgraded the message with the payment feature that allows you to transfer money. You can pay to your friend with the help of Apple using the iMessage and also can transfer the money in bank accounts.I this section the Apple is a clear winner as Google message app is just the messenger and it does not allow any kind of payment or money transfer.

The Final Words

By considering the above points and competing for feature among the platforms it is clear Google’s Android O wins the race. Google have upgraded the platform with the more user-concentric approach and the Google Assitance feature have totally taken the game. Yet iOS contains way better feature as compared to its prior version but lost the fight to Google's Android O.

Google have announced to enrol the Android O for the users somewhere around October while iOS 11 is expected to come in September.
